Doing the impossible.....

God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible- what a pity that we plan only the things we can do by ourselves.

I had an experience of "dejavu" yesterday while I sat beside a friend at our weekly gathering called Love Machine. I listened to him share is pain and I felt the same pain I had experienced myself. It washed over me....and then I was able to let it go. It was a wonderful experience to know that I completely "felt" his pain and could honestly tell him that...and yet I did not have to live in it anymore.

I realized this morning that this was an important experience for me and it was timed perfectly....just as yesterdays message was perfectly timed for me. I am being asked to lead an impossible journey and it is scary because of the pain that washed over me yesterday as I listened to my friend share is very real pain. I am not qualified to lead this journey and by all human standards I am the last person anyone would choose to lead such a venture. AND yet I was reminded yesterday that God has a way of picking the most UNPREDICTABLE people to be the vessel He chooses to work the impossible through.....I guess that is why His working looks like a miracle...when in His reality it is just everyday stuff!!!

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
~Paul in a letter to the Ephesians 3:20 ( The Message )
