Are there times when you were having fun or sincerely helping someone or deeply appreciating an experience? Recall those times. How do they make you feel mentally, emotionally and physically? Do they add quality to your day?
~ Doc Childre and Sara Paddison
Time pressure starts to subside when we shift to the heart to find quality of mood and ease. It's our unmanaged emotions that turn time into an opponent and make life a rat race. Managing time with the heart is the ultimate time management tool.
~Doc Childre
People always make time to do the things they really want to do.

Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.
~ From "Cheers
Until you value yourself, you will not value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.
~ M. Scott Peck
I realized as I came across these quotes that valuing our time and our relationships can have conflicting perspectives if we are not clear about who is the master of our lives. Our pastor spoke on one of my favorite set of verses yesterday and I was reminded that whether I like it or agree with it.... or don't, God is the master of the Universe....and my time is in His hands. And when I think about that....I am relieved!!! Thank goodness that it is not all left up to me!!!
Some people have looked at my life and wonder why I spend my days like I do....some think I work too much, some think I don't work enough, some think I don't spend my time on the "right" priorities, whatever those are.....and others wonder why I prioritize at all!!! Through the years I have come to realize that God is the only One who I need to look to in answer to how and where I spend my time.
Years ago I was in a class and the speaker said something so profound that this one sentence changed my life. He said, "Nothing in this world lasts except the Word of God and people, everything else will burn up." I made a decision that day to spend my life and my time on what lasts....loving God with all my heart, mind, soul and spirit and loving others as I love myself.
This choice has lead me to enjoy all my life....the people, the job, the experiences and the lessons. I remember years ago my husband, Jack, pointing out a truth to me....that I didn't really have a job, because I had too much fun doing what was my job!! AND he was right!!! I love what I do....it is more fun than fun! I love the people I work with ....they are the most amazing people on the planet!!! I love the artists I work with, they are such a gift in my life, they teach me so much about risking it all, about opening up to all the possibilities.
Tomorrow morning I head out with Matt Brouwer and Jackie Key to Canada...to attend the Shai Awards event in Edmonton,Alberta....I have never been there! I love to travel and see new sights and meet new people....I have enjoyed the excitement of seeing so much in my life and experiencing so many cultures and wonders in this world. The fact that my job allows me the opportunity to experience this new adventure with 2 incredible artists....well God, You have blessed me beyond belief AGAIN!
But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I've had a good look at what God has given us to dobusywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its timebut He's left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether He's coming or going. I've decided that there's nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That's iteat, drink, and make the most of your job. It's God's gift.
~Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 (The Message)
